This large-format (11×17) atlas contains maps derived from original research and both Soviet and Japanese sources covering all operations the Red Army conducted against the Japanese Kwantung Army in Manchuria, as well as against Japanese forces in northern Korea, the southern portion of Sakhalin Island, the Kuril Islands, and the aborted assault on the northernmost home island of Hokkaido.

Includes a 45-page operational summary, and complete opposing orders of battle.
